“I’m too tired. I don’t make enough money. I’m overworked. I’m under appreciated.”
There’s always something to complain about, and there’s always going to be. It’s incredibly tumultuous and emotional to be a human.
But then again we’re just one small piece of something much, much bigger. So here are three easy ways to snap out of your silly little human being problems:
1) IRL REALITY
There’s no bigger form of perspective than a healthy dose of reality. A lot of people forget that we’re actually living on a planet travelling through space and time. Crazy right? The problem is, we don’t get to see that. All we see is as far as our eyes can take us, and that isn’t very far.
If only more of us the opportunity to have an “away” from the Earth experience. Unfortunately not all of us can be Chris Hadfield.
But we can take his out of orbit experience to put our own life in perspective.
Like this simple yet mind blowing video about what happens when you wring out a wet cloth in space:
2) YOUR HOME. YOUR TOWN. YOUR PROVINCE. YOUR COUNTRY. THE ENTIRE EARTH.
Why should you be grateful for everyday life despite the growing number of stupid human issues? Here are two more Earth-bound reasons:
3) THE EARTH? PSHHHH!
If you think your problems are big, trust me when I say, they’re nothing compared to how big the universe is around you.
If stupid human problems are getting you down, don’t forget that you’re a small being, but you’re capable of getting involved in much bigger things. Chris Hadfield is a perfect example of this.
If you want to make a dent in history within the short amount of time you’re on the Earth, start getting passed your small humans problems first. From there, well anything is possible :^)
