I do a lot of posts about random tech stuff, and things that can help make your life more efficient, but what about making your life better in general?
Sometimes life get’s cozy and simple, and it’s easy to forget what’s truly important. Maybe the lines of right and wrong blur or you do things because you don’t see any harm in it. Even if your intention is pure of heart, mistakes are mistakes. And they can cost you more than you’re willing to give.
I was recently reminded at how easy it is to lose everything. Life can be taken away at the blink of an eye by one wrong choice, one stupid decision, one miscalculated risk. So how can you avoid this?
Easy… live your life guided by what’s in your heart and by what you believe. Do you have a ‘how I plan to live my life’ list? You know, a list of those things you stand by as a person. Maybe a list of qualities you want to be known for.
If you don’t, how on earth do you plan to get to where you want to go? Better late than never. It’s a simple as asking yourself, who do I want to be? I pasted mine below to give you an example. It’s a reminder of who I want to be, and what’s important in my life.
Now once you create one, remind yourself of it often. Keep it in your wallet, post it on your wall. Look at it and think about it. Even better, update it on a regular basis, or as you need to. Best case scenario is you achieve it. Hopefully it’ll save you from yourself when you really need it most.
My How I Plan To Live My Life List:
- Learn something new every week.
- Mean every word I say, write and think. Live with clear intentions.
- Use my energy and brain wisely and with purpose.
- Respect money and use it sensibly. Don’t buy things I don’t actually need.
- Love even when it hurts.
- Write even when I don’t feel like it.
No matter what’s happening or happened, give everything. We’re all born dying, so you really have no excuse.
