Wouldn’t it be sweet if we had a universal dock instead of a whole bunch of different power cables? Especially considering how many electronics we have on our person at a time. Sometimes, I have a MacBook, iPhone and iPad in my purse. That’s 2 different chords, plus my headphones. Lame-o. Continue reading “Just an Idea: Universal Dock” »

Food these days contains a lot of ingredients and things that could have any number of calories and grams of fat. Back in the day, if you wanted to count your brand name calories you’d have to makeshift the numbers based on quantity and what you think the ingredients are. Luckily, this info is now public. If you happen to own an iPhone (I applaud you btw), then you’ll love this Calorie Counting app. Not only do you have access to a database of ‘regular food’ (you know apples, ground beef and peanuts), but also brand name food products.

I stumbled across the new iPhone app entitled Snooth Wine Pro, and it rekindled something I haven’t thought about for ages, image recognition. For so long, I have put thoughts of us enhancing this technology into the back of my mind (hoping they’d do something great, but not holding my breath). If only reality mimicked what they have in all those sci-fi action flicks. But no longer… Continue reading “The Future of Visual Recognition” »

I’ve always been a cell phone whore. I don’t even know how many I’ve had in my life. I’m guessing somewhere around 10 or so, a few purchased while in different countries. But none of them compare to the capabilities and change in my life like the iPhone. Continue reading “The Future is Smartphones …. This Ain’t No Bandwagon” »
